Forehead (Hairline) Reduction
Hairline-lowering surgery — shortening a tall forehead by 1–3cm in a single operation with a hidden trichophytic scar

Overview
A tall forehead unbalances facial thirds and often drives years of hairstyle camouflage. Forehead reduction advances the hairline directly — typically 1–3cm in one operation — through a trichophytic incision designed so hair grows through the scar line itself.
The roughly 1–1.5 hour operation repositions the scalp forward and closes along the new hairline; regrowth through the incision progressively conceals it. Daily activities resume the next day with stitches out around day 7.

Forehead (Hairline) Reduction — FAQ
Reduction vs hair transplant?
Reduction moves the entire hairline at once with immediate density; transplants build gradually over a year. Large lowerings sometimes combine both.
Will the scar show if I pull my hair back?
The trichophytic technique grows hair through the incision; once matured it is very difficult to find even with hair pulled back.
How much can be lowered?
Scalp laxity determines it — commonly 1–2cm, up to 3cm with good laxity, measured at consultation.
Does the result change with age?
The advanced hairline is your own scalp and behaves as such; hereditary hair loss patterns still require their own management.
