Rhinoplasty here — what is decided, and in what order
Assessment first
Nasal bone, cartilage and skin are assessed before anything is chosen. The implant for the bridge and the cartilage for the tip are decided from that assessment and set against the proportions of the whole face.
Materials
The bridge is shaped with a custom-fitted implant and the tip is refined with your own tissue and ear cartilage. The three-step operation uses septal and ear cartilage; donated costal cartilage is available where a case needs the volume, and is quoted as a separate line.
Added steps, priced separately
Alar (nostril) reduction, osteotomy, deviation and hump correction, bulbous tip and short-nose correction are added as separate components rather than bundled, so the quote reflects what is actually done.
Revision rhinoplasty
Revision is graded across three difficulty tiers after the previous result has been examined. A second operation and a fourth are not the same procedure, and revision cannot be quoted from photographs alone.
Breathing as well as shape
Septal deviation and inferior turbinate hypertrophy are treated on their own or alongside the aesthetic operation.
On the day and after
One to two hours under sedation, through a minimal incision, with no overnight admission. Stitches come out on day seven; how long to stay in Seoul is discussed at consultation.
